Our sweet, talkative boy is 3 months old! It is hard to believe 3 months have gone by - most days, I still feel like I have a newborn! His sleep is slowly getting better (3-4 hour stretches at night), he's getting stronger and stronger with his head, neck, and hands, and he talks most of the time when he's awake. He loves interaction and communication, and will coo and laugh and squeal if you face him towards you and talk to him. He also loves to spend time on his playmat looking at the animals and grabbing them, but he still much prefers talking and interacting with us. He loves Miriam and has huge grins and lots of "talking" for her whenever she's around. Mathias also has huge grins and giggles for Mario whenever he sees him. He grins and giggles for me too, but I think he also tolerates my constant squeezing and kissing...I know how fast he will grow up and I don't want to miss a chance to squeeze and hug and kiss him while I can (and while he can't get away!).
Some new things he's done this past month: giggled at us, grabbed us with his hands, visited the zoo, gone for a walk in the stroller without his carseat, visited the library, and watched the Seahawks win the NFC Championship!
He doesn't have a doctor's visit this month, but we think he weighs about 14 pounds, and is long/tall enough that he has to wear 6m pajamas and 1 piece outfits now.
And before I share photos, let me say that I worked on this post earlier this week and was waiting for photos to post it. And in those short couple of days, we went from "sleeping better" to "sleeping like a newborn"....as in, waking up every 1.5-2 hours. Maybe I should just start accepting that our kids aren't great sleepers until they are....older. Much older. Miriam's age. And then I'll be pleasantly surprised when he sleeps well!
