Miriam is 1/4 of a year (3 months) old!!

Our sweet little girl is 3 months old today!  Over these past three months, we've come up with a lot of informal nicknames for our beautiful daughter.  They include:

Mir
Miri
Miri bug
Miri muffin
Miri Ruthie
Miriam Ruthie
Sweetie pie
Sweetie bug
Presh
Presh bug

And I'm sure a lot of other ones I can't remember right now... :)

Miriam is growing bigger every day, and doesn't really resemble the newborn we brought home!  She talks a lot and is such a fun, happy baby.  She is very observant and loves a lot of different activities.  She really enjoys playtime, walks, talking/looking in the mirror, her crib mobiles, baths, tummy time, smiles and her swing.  She loves music and there is almost always some form of music going in her room when she is awake.  She recognizes both Mario and me in groups of faces, and can recognize our voices (and turn her head towards them).   

Miriam is sleeping great these days and only gets up once a night around 2 am, then wakes up to start her day at 5 or 6 am.  We are slowly working towards her sleeping through the night, but right now we are happy with how well she is sleeping. 

I'm going to slowly start phasing out her 0-3 month clothes and putting her 3-6 month clothes in her closet.  She still fits in about half of her 0-3 month clothes, but is definitely too tall for others.  It is bittersweet to put away some of my favorite outfits of hers, but I am excited to get out new clothes for the summer!  We unofficially measured her today, and she weighs about 14.5 pounds and is about 24" long.  (She doesn't go back to the doctor until she is 4 months old.)

Katie (my sister) has been in town for the past couple of days, and she and Miriam are having a great time getting to know each other.  Auntie Katie sings and dances for Miriam, which she loves.  She's even been feeding her and changing her diaper, and has taken a lot of pictures of us while she's been here (including the hilarious picture below of Miriam in her sunglasses and sun hat, out for a walk).
