A whole new age of fun has started...

...now that Miriam is a climber.  She's discovered how to climb up onto our ottoman, our couch, and our baseboard heater, all in one night.  She's quite a feisty, stubborn personality when she wants to be, and is very persistent about trying to climb, even after we redirect her and tell her no.  She sometimes laughs when we tell her no, and other times she dissolves into a weeping pile on the floor.  Luckily, she is easily distracted and she moves on to another activity quickly.

She's a happy girl most of the time, although we have had some difficult days/nights lately because of teething.  She's been getting her molars now (we think 3 have broken through), and those are definitely more difficult than the front teeth.  She's been a trooper though, just a little bit more fussy and grumpy than normal.

Miriam still loves to be outside and playing with (or at least playing next to) other little kids.  She still isn't sure how to interact with other kids yet, and just kind of plays alongside them when we see friend's kids or see other kids at the playground.  She's always waving and smiling at them though, and tracks them pretty seriously when we are out and about.

I've got some new pictures from recent weeks...Miriam at the zoo, relaxing with her Daddy, enjoying some time at the beach, climbing on the heater, and all dressed up with Mama in the morning.

Ready for some fun in the sun!

She sleeps with Teddy every night (made for her by Grandma Jan).

"Peek a boo!"

"Ooooh, the view is much better from up here!"
